As a teacher, when we give a subject for student we have to choose a suitable method. And also actually we must to choose an interesting method when transferred a subject of knowledge to our student as use multimedia. But there are uncorrected concept according to the multimedia, as :
- Multimedia just as a presenting subject tool.
- Multimedia as a positive mode for the learning.
- They think that multimedia using a variety of media as audio, visual, audio, moving animation, etc, so which will produce a many cognitive process, so the student will get more.
Here are the using of multimedia and the influence of multimedia, in the learning process :

Multi types of representation is the integrating of the text, the real picture or graphic. According to the research product, the using multi types of representation, information/subject learning as a text will be remembered better with a picture. It was completed by dual coding theory (Paivio, 1986). According to this theory, the human cognitive system divided to two systems part, verbal system and visual system. Words and sentences usually processed in the verbal system except the concrete matter, and the pictures processed in the both of picture system and verbal system. So the pictures in the text will be increased the memory, because they have dual coding in the memory better than single coding.
Animation is The other important of the Multimedia. It will be used to interest the student when the teacher is using it exactly, but in the other way the animation will outerest the student from the subject to the unimportant animation. The animation helps learning process if the student can progressed their cognitive domain when helped by animation, without animation, the cognitive process will nit be done. According to the research, the student who has a low knowledge and educational background needs the assistion as an animation to catch the subject.
By using the multimedia, the student may get many learning methods. And the teacher of fasilitator will use the multi lines or senseric which available.
By using the multi lines of sensoric, it is possible to use the shapes of auditif and visual. According to the research, getting the knowledge from the text by using the picture and animation, and the text offered by auditif and visual form, the student’s result will be better.
The unlinearity learning as the learning process not only based on the matters from the teacher or fasilitator, but also the student will be increase their knowledges from the other sources. Such as their environment, the internet, the library,etc. according to the research, that the student’s understanding by using the unlinear learning gets a better result. This is a better one than get a knowledge just from the teacher because the students get the knowledge from the external source.
The interactive as the level of interaction by using the learning media, as a multimedia. Because this more possible for the teacher or the student to explore their activities learning by using the multimedia. Just thinking about how to make a positive impact for both teacher or student.
